Least Restrictive Behavioral Interventions Manual
This manual is an essential handbook to have in the classroom as it provides both academic and behavioral supports and interventions that can be used to best support our students. This manual provides the following resources:
- Effective classroom management strategies,
- Implementing school wide PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support),
- How to collect data,
- Steps to creating a FUBA (Functional Behavioral Assessment) and BIP (Behavioral Intervention Plans),

The Tough Kid Series
This series is a phenomenal tool to have in the classroom. Each book provides specific strategies to use with students demonstrating various behavioral and academic struggles. The strategies demonstrated in each book are easy to implement, have been classroom-tested, and are ready to use. The books include observation forms, data collection charts, reinforcement ideas, and behavior contracts. Some books in the series include:

Council for Exceptional Children
Council for Exceptional Children is a wonderful program to be a part of. If you choose to become a member, you will receive six publications per year of up to date research within in the field of education. training, networking, and can select to be a part of 17 special selection groups including autism, gifted/talented, behavioral disorders, etc. If you choose not to become a member, you still have access to a wide variety of resources and new research keeping you informed and up to date.

CHAMPs
A Proactive and Positive Approach to Classroom Management
CHAMPs is an effective tool in teaching educators how to implement a behavioral management system within in the classroom that is easy to use and successful. This management system focuses on explicitly teaching and modeling the behavior that is expected of the students. It provides printable resources to be used in the classroom and step by step instructions on how to develop classroom rules, how to model expectations, and how to maintain positive behavior through effective reinforcements, consequences, and teaching techniques. Dynamic Learning Maps
An alternative assessment tool for students with moderate to severe disabilities. This assessment is still in the processing stage but will be available come the 2014-2015 school year. The purpose of Dynamic Learning Maps is to move away from the traditional testing model that only focus on right or wrong answers and move to a more modern approach to map a student's route in obtaining the correct answer. Dynamic Learning Maps are oftened refferred to as a road map, meaning there are many ways to get to an answer.
